We are kicking off 2018 with a bang! With over 20 years of casting experience please welcome Gemma Hancock, host of our 1st Masterclass of 2018! Gemma is currently a casting director for the in-house casting department at the BBC. Her and her partner Sam Stevenson were nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for their work on the BBC adaptation of 'Emma'.
Gemma's TV work includes: Four series of Silent Witness (BBC1), Don't Take My Baby (BAFTA winner), Casualty, Doctors, Father Brown (BBC1), Our World War ( BAFTA nominated), Glasgow Girls (BBC3), , The Selection (Warner Bros), The Inspector Lynley Mysteries (BBC1), The Bill for ITV.
Theatre includes: Breakfast Tiffany's, Ring Round the Moon, Waiting for Godot (West End), King Lear (RSC), Blood and Gifts (National Theatre), The Humans (New York), Our Country's Good (St James theatre). Sam and Gemma have also cast more than 20 productions for Peter Hall, including Henry IV, Pygmalion, Uncle Vanya, The Dresser, As You Like It, Habeas Corpus and Measure for Measure. This practical TV audition workshop offers the opportunity to master the process from the moment you walk through the door, as well as a Q&A about Spotlight CVs, showreels, and the process of breaking down scripts and auditioning for TV.
